Olivia Bouzyk (b. 1996) is a London-based artist whose practice explores the interplay of line, form, and colour through abstraction. Drawing inspiration from both natural and urban environments, she translates observations of landscapes, architecture, and everyday surroundings into dynamic compositions that distil fleeting moments into bold, expressive forms.
Working primarily in monoprinting, Bouzyk embraces the medium's inherent unpredictability and impermanence, ensuring each work remains unique. Her approach is informed by an ongoing interest in medieval illuminated manuscripts, whose decorative structures, symbolism, and use of colour continue to influence her visual language. Through layering, repetition, and abstraction, she creates works that balance spontaneity with careful composition.
Bouzyk holds an MA in Fine Art Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts (2021) and a BA in History of Art from University College London (2018). She works from her studio in Vauxhall, London, and from the Thames-Side Studios print workshop in Woolwich. Her work has been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, South London Gallery, Copeland Gallery, The Other Art Fair and The Affordable Art Fair. She has been featured in Soft, Suboart, and Bum magazines, and has worked with Tom Dixon during the London Design Festival. Most recently, she presented her solo exhibition, Blue Rinse, at DKUK in Peckham.
