Roberta Volpe And Sound Hybrid Artist

Roberta Volpe and Sound Hybrid Artist (S.H.A.) are working on a collaborative project, “Sound on Art”, that produces dual pieces of art:  An original painting and a limited-edition transparent vinyl record called “My sound vision of…”

Sound On Art creates immersive binaural sound experiences inspired by visual art, evoking the SHARAWADJI effect—a sensation of inexplicable beauty from complex soundscapes.

​S.H.A. choose classical paintings that resonate personally and collaborates with contemporary artists to bring art to life through bespoke soundtracks.

These soundscapes invite listeners to engage deeply with the artwork, discovering unseen details and forming unique emotional connections.

The combination of sight and sound amplifies and transcends the visual experience, making art come alive in a profound and immersive way.

By scanning the QR code on the label, the audience can experience a preview with their headphones, immersing themselves in Roberta’s painting through SHA's evocative sound creation.

The full soundtrack is available only to the owner of the dual art.

Roberta Volpe trained in set and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan and the Opera Academy of Verona, developing a strong foundation in visual storytelling.
She gained hands-on experience at Teatro La Scala and made her international debut in 2011 at the Amazonas Theatre in Brazil, marking the start of her global career as a set designer.
After moving to London in 2013, she collaborated with major theatre and event companies, earning an EVCOM Event Design Award in 2018 and working as a scenic artist on iconic productions.
Alongside theatre, her painting practice grew, leading her to open her own art studio in 2019 and establish a distinctive textural impressionist style.
Now based in Dubai, Roberta combines teaching with artistic practice, creating emotionally rich works that blend theatrical sensibility with painterly expression.

S.H.A. is a Hybrid Audio Sorcerer—an audio producer, sound designer, engineer, composer, and sound artist whose work spans sound creation and broadcasting.
A drummer and self-taught musician, he studied electronic and computer science before earning a Master’s degree in sound for motion pictures.
He has worked across advertising, film, video games, music recording, and sound performance, blending technical expertise with strong artistic vision.
His collaborations include renowned figures such as Roman Polanski, Luc Besson, Eric Serra, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Joachim Garraud, and his work has been exhibited twice at the Saint-Étienne International Biennale of Design and several London art events.
Based in London since 2016, S.H.A. focuses on creating emotional, immersive soundscapes and music for inspiring projects with talented creatives.
