Born in Milan in 1955, Laura Ceretti works between Milan and St. Moritz in the Engadin Valley. Trained at the Politecnico del Design, she rose quickly in advertising as a senior graphic-design executive during the heyday of modern Italian industrial design. That environment forged her hallmark balance of engineering-level precision, publishing technology, and visual poetry.
A lifelong admirer of Alpine landscapes, Ceretti has authored and curated books on iconic mountain passes, their morphology and human history and published a volume celebrating her collection of rare Engadin postcards. In 2017 she became an ENAC-licensed drone pilot, developing a distinctive practice that fuses drone aviation with high-definition photography. Her images are then doubled and mirrored, transforming natural rhythms and seasonal change into striking, symmetrical fine-art prints.
Ceretti is also an avid calligrapher and collector of nibs and Murano glass fish — details that echo her love of craft. Selected works are on view and available through PickArt.
