Laura Ceretti

Born in Milan in 1955, Laura Ceretti works between Milan and St. Moritz in the Engadin Valley. Trained at the Politecnico del Design, she rose quickly in advertising as a senior graphic-design executive during the heyday of modern Italian industrial design. That environment forged her hallmark balance of engineering-level precision, publishing technology, and visual poetry. A lifelong admirer of Alpine landscapes, Ceretti has authored and curated books on iconic mountain passes, their morphology and human history and published a volume celebrating her collection of rare Engadin postcards. In 2017 she became an ENAC-licensed drone pilot, developing a distinctive practice that fuses drone aviation with high-definition photography. Her images are then doubled and mirrored, transforming natural rhythms and seasonal change into striking, symmetrical fine-art prints. Ceretti is also an avid calligrapher and collector of nibs and Murano glass fish — details that echo her love of craft. Selected works are on view and available through PickArt.
