Charles Milligan started taking photographs at the age of sixteen, developing and printing them in his bedroom. He studied photography at The London College of Printing 1970-73 and went freelance shortly afterwards. His clients were many and various, notably The Times newspaper, The Illustrated London News, The British medical Association, Thompson Publishing and Macmillan Publishers. He exhibited at The Russell Meade Gallery, Bloomsbury in 1975, and had a major exhibition and book launch at All Is Joy Studios on Dean Street Soho in 2023. A retrospective of his personal work is planned for April 2027 at the GPS Gallery, Great Pulteney Street, London W1.
